Food Processing

Lack of appropriate food processing knowledge, technology and assets are one of the major factors driving distress selling of commodities. We, in Koel Fresh, carry out research on various food commodities such as millets, mushrooms, moringa leaves, mango, maize, tomato, etc. which are produced and available in large quantity. We design channels for processing the raw commodities into value-added commodities having better market value and nutrient content.
We work in coordination with NGOs, FPOs, research institutions and processing units to implement the design on the ground. We are also connecting with various market chains in India and abroad to market processed products with better quality services and pricing.
We are closely associated with the Food Processing Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, and receive invaluable knowledge regarding the processing of various food products.
 
Sundargarh’s climate is favourable to various produce and designing and setting up processing centres in this area closer to farms adds value to their product.
 
Our team has been working with various NGOs to set up processing centres in the Sundargarh District area.
